VitaMedica Arnica Montana 30x (200 Tabs)
A homeopathic remedy designed to reduce the discomfort, bruising and swelling associated with soft tissue injury that often accompanies a surgical or non-surgical procedure.
When you've had surgery or injured your body through accident or over-exertion, the body normally responds with inflammation,
bruising and swelling. Bruising occurs when the tissues underlying the skin are injured. While the skin may not be broken,
the blood collects under the skin, resulting in pain, and swelling and "black and blue" marks. While these symptoms may be
uncomfortable, they represent the body's wonderful innate ability to heal itself. Prescription medications can provide some
relief, but they often suppress healing and can cause unwanted side effects.
The literal interpretation of homeopathy is "like treating like." The principle behind homeopathy is that our bodies have
natural defense mechanisms to aid in healing. This is often reflected as symptoms. While prescription medications tend to
suppress symptoms, homeopathic medications try to elicit them. This approach is intended to stimulate the immune system,
and enhance the healing process.
High Quality Raw Materials
VitaMedica's Arnica Montana is sourced from Germany , where standards for herb production are among highest in the world.
Some brands like Alpine Pharmaceuticals' SinEcch® provide Arnica Montana in convenient gel caps. But, SinEcch's color coded
caps contain artificial dyes and colorants, which can cause allergic reactions in some individuals. VitaMedica's Arnica Montana
is made from 100% organically grown plants ensuring that the final product is safe, pesticide-free and contains no artificial
ingredients, colors or dyes.
Our 30X potency was based on extensive research and trials that indicates this strength is optimal for the majority of surgical
patients.
Some homeopathic medications are formulated in lactose or sucrose pellets. Typically, these sugar pellets are manufactured
at a candy factory and then the homeopathic medicine is added to the outside of the pellet. This production method makes it
very easy for an individual to accidentally remove the medication. VitaMedica's Arnica Montana is formulated in a tablet
form, with the medication distributed evenly throughout the tablet.
Based on years of extensive use, Arnica Montana is a very safe medication, virtually free of side effects with no known contraindications
or drug interactions.
Arnica Montana contains compounds that are especially important for the reduction of bruising and swelling. When used in
combination with Bromelain with Quercetin , Arnica Montana is ideal for patients undergoing surgical procedures such as blepharoplasty
(eyelid surgery), brow lift, facial implants and breast augmentation. Arnica Montana can also be beneficial for some non-surgical
procedures such as collagen or hyaluronic acid injections, fat and filler injections, and chemical peels.
Arnica Montana has an excellent safety track record. However, certain individuals should seek the advice of their doctor
before beginning any nutritional supplement program particularly diabetics, pregnant or lactating women. If an individual
has a known allergy to Arnica Montana , he/she should not take the product.
Begin taking Arnica Montana immediately after your surgery and continue until the bruising and swelling has subsided (usually
7-14 days). Do not brush your teeth, eat, or drink anything but water, 15 minutes before or 15 minutes after taking Arnica
Montana . Avoid handling of the tablets by using the bottle cap that is included. Take 3 tablets, 3 times a day. Important:
Place tablets under the tongue and let dissolve naturally.
Do not eat or drink anything by mouth (including this supplement) after midnight prior to surgery. Following anesthesia and
surgery, it is not uncommon for some patients to experience decreased appetite or gastrointestinal upset. Since Arnica Montana
is a sublingual medication (under the tongue), taking this product should not cause or aggravate an upset stomach.
Additional vitamin, mineral or herbal supplements should not be taken during the peri-operative period. In particular, supplements
containing the following compounds should be discontinued two weeks prior to, and for up to two weeks after surgery: Bilberry,
cayenne, dong quai, echinacea, feverfew, fish oil caps, garlic, ginger, ginkgo biloba, ginseng, hawthorne, kava kava, licorice
root, ma huang (ephedra), melatonin, red clover, St. John's wort, valerian, vitamin E and yohimbe
